Lot of hot air.. ( o_0 ) sigh..

Over the last few days we have been discussing our ideas, at the moment we have a Jekyll and Hyde character interacting with a steam powered victorian-esque environment. This organic chemical kinda of 'drink a potion and your cured' could be replaced by something more mechanical. Instead of a monster we could have someone in a steam powered suit.

Could be the central boiler for the house instead of a fireplace:

Ive trying to get into the mood of this and think about what you would have if you lived in this era.

Firstly you would have a central boiler in which water which came from pipes could be boiled up and be distributed round the house in heating pipes and (electric) steam pipes around every room. This would act as central heating with a temperature gauge allowing you to let gas out of the pipes to make the house cooler or keep gas in the pipes to make the house hotter.
Next to this Central boiler you would probably have a cooker of some sort with a ventilation fan.

The (electric) steam pipes would have to have sockets to allow occupants to plug in appliances.
These could include:

Massage Chair
(picture to come)

Portable Steam Capsules (Battries)

Record Player (the needle would move and the record stay still)

Blinds. Door Locks. Cookers. Rotating Chandelear, washing machine/ironing board.

Steam Street Fighter Console.

Some new ideas came about. When the person steps inside the house a record is playing, but he steps on one of the (electric) steam pipes and the power dims so the record plays slower. steam leaks out and aggrevates the bird in the cage. he has to fix the pipe so he can remain undetected, so maybe puts the bird in the pipe to restore pressure. (the music would then return to normal speed)

He could have also damaged his steam suit, or run out of energy, so has to search for some steam batteries. this way he could be routing through drawers, tables and bookcases etc.
